COFFEEINE

--- Family roots

The birth of Oro Molido, sown in Colombia.

The seed of what is now Oro Molido was sown by Raúl Escobar and Ángela Villegas, grandparents of the current generation. They laid the foundations of a legacy that the third generation of the Escobar Villegas family has known how to keep, strengthen and project towards new horizons. Today the story continues not only in Colombia but also in Africa, through our subsidiary African Partnerships Kilimanjaro (APK) — holding to an unwavering commitment to quality, innovation and social impact.

--- The company

Who we are and how we work.

01

Who we are

We are a family-owned coffee company with operations in Colombia and Tanzania. Our work starts in the field and continues through the decisions that allow green coffee to reach buyers with clarity, consistency and care.

02

What we believe

A good coffee relationship begins long before a sample is shipped. It starts with how the fruit is grown, selected, processed, recorded, reviewed and explained.

03

Core business

Our core business is reliable B2B green coffee from origin. Hospitality, impact and adjacent initiatives matter when they support the same promise: better coffee relationships, built with patience, quality and responsibility.

04

What makes us different

Oro Molido works near the farm and near the buyer. That dual proximity lets us speak with agricultural realism, quality evidence and commercial clarity at the same time.

--- Our history

From a single farm to two continents.

2005

The first coffee farm, Campo Amor in Fredonia, Antioquia, became the starting point.

2007

With the purchase of the Mango Chiquito farm, Oro Molido was formally constituted as a company.

2009

The vision went beyond coffee production: Oro Molido acquired El Tablazo in Montebello and La Sierra in Palomos, Fredonia, consolidating its business model — Coffee × Real Estate.

2010

The leap to Africa: the birth of African Partnerships Kilimanjaro (APK).

2011

Acquisition of the Vista de Nieve farm in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and Potosí in Santa Bárbara, Antioquia.

2021

Acquisition of the Sabana farm in Venecia, Antioquia.
